Trusted Data for Agentic AI

What are early deployments revealing about agentic AI?
As organisations move beyond early generative AI pilots, attention is turning to a more autonomous next phase of AI adoption. Emerging so-called “agentic” AI systems are designed not just to analyse information, but to make decisions, trigger actions and interact directly with customers, suppliers and employees.
While these systems promise greater efficiency and responsiveness, they also raise the stakes. The more responsibility AI systems are given, the more dependent they become on reliable data, a clear understanding of what that data represents, and effective governance. Gartner predicts that through 2026, organisations will abandon 60% of AI projects unsupported by AI- ready data.
This Financial Times webinar, hosted in partnership with Informatica, a Salesforce company, brought together senior data, technology, and business leaders to examine what agentic AI means in practice and what data readiness looks like when AI systems must operate safely, responsibly, and with greater autonomy. The discussion features perspectives from Deloitte alongside corporate practitioners to explore how organisations are strengthening data foundations, governance and operating models to prepare for the next phase of enterprise AI, and where challenges and risks remain.
